I have no wish to make this political, but I hope everyone in the United States is taking time to vote today if they haven’t already voted. To preserve your voting rights, you need to vote. It’s important to vote even in the off years.

Roma James Brehm was born on November 3, 1925 to Fred and Leota Knorr Brehm. He was born in Mercer County Ohio. Roma is Walt’s 2nd cousin on the Hoel side of the family.
Even a grey day in the woods can be amazing. We had a chance to go out and do a few miles recently down near Lake Monroe in southern Indiana. Despite the clouds and intermittent light rain, we saw some glorious views!
Marcella Kiener was born on October 27, 1916 to William and Elizabeth Geers Kiener. She was born in Fort Madison, Iowa. Marcella is distantly related to Walt through the Wellman side of the family.
Every season brings new beauty to the deciduous forests. Autumn brings a wide array of colors to enjoy. Crisp days and cool nights make for good hiking and sleeping. Fall pictures are glorious to look at.
Heinrich Henry Wellman was born on October 20, 1889 in Aslage by Ankum Germany to Herman and Mary Brinker Wellman. Henry Wellman is Walt’s 1st cousin twice removed.
Margaretha Agatha Straub was born on October 13, 1824 in Beiringen, Gemany to Markus and Margaretha Trufner Straub. Margaret is Walt’s 4th great aunt.
Marian Louise Holtkamp was born to Bernard and Louise Krueger Holtkamp on October 6, 1923. She was born in St. Paul, Iowa. She is a distant relation of Walt’s through his great-uncle Albert Link’s wife, Marie Clemens.
I don’t like mowing the lawn, but I take advantage of the time it takes to listen to music, a podcast, or an audio book. While I was mowing last weekend, I was thinking about the different playlists on my phone.
Margaret Barnes was born to Sylvester and Cornelia Parker Barnes on September 29, 1863. She was born in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Margaret is Michelle’s great, great-grandmother.
