Bessie May Trevett was born in October 25, 1889 near Emerson, Nebraska. Bessie May is my (Michelle’s) great grandmother.
This last weekend we were at ICON, Iowa’s longest running science fiction convention. We have gone every year we could since at least 2001.
Joseph Fedler was born on October 18, 1929 in West Point, Iowa. His daughter married Walt’s second cousin on the Wellman side of the family.
On October 11, 1865, Johann Heinrich Boeding married Elizabeth Becker. They are distant relations on the Link side of Walt’s family.
We recently took a much-needed vacation to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in northern Michigan. We saw a lot of beautiful scenery, learned a bit about the local history, and may have found yet another new obsession.
Henry Merschbrock was born on October 4, 1881 in St Paul, Iowa. Henry married Elizabeth Wellman, Walt’s 1st cousin twice removed.
Rotary cutters are used to cut fabric and paper. They are especially popular for quilters. I use one regularly. We recently got a message that several rotary cutters used in a charity quilting group were missing a piece. Walt was able to use one of my cutters to create a 3D printed version to replace the missing parts.
