Over my Christmas break, I had the flu. I wasn’t feeling well enough to do much of anything, but I did wander up to the studio towards the end of the week. I had a pile of scraps sitting by my sewing table and decided to stitch them together and see what happened.
Joseph Dennis Link was born on February 23, 1946 to Carl and Martha Holtkamp Link in West Point, Iowa. Joe is Walt’s 2nd cousin twice removed.
Theodore Moeller and Elizabeth Frizjunker were married on February 16, 1898 at St. James Catholic Church in St. Paul, Iowa. Their daughter Verona (Veronica) is Walt’s great aunt.
Orlando Martin Trevett was born on February 9, 1852 to Lewis and Mary Cross Trevett. He was born in Concord, New York. Orlando is Michelle’s 2nd great grandfather.
Kenneth Harden was born on February 2, 1924 to William and Addie Nicholson Harden. He was born in Blairsburg, Iowa, where the family had a farm. Kenneth is the brother of Walt’s aunt Doris Hoel.

Mary Josephine Bentler was born to Joseph and Deina Holtkamp Bentler on January 26, 1920 in Houghton, Iowa. Mary is a distant relation of Walt’s through the Link side of the family.
