Ralph Link was born on May 16, 1937. Ralph is Walt’s 2nd cousin once removed. Ralph’s grandfather Louis is the brother of Walt’s great-grandfather Isadore Link.
Ralph Link was born to Louis J and Edith Boerger Link in Phoenix, Arizona. Ralph was the second of three sons. The 1940 census has Ralph, his parents and older brother living in Phoenix. Also in the household is Louis J Link’s father, Louis H. Link. The younger Louis is working as an expressman on the railroad. We find a lot of railroad workers in the family.
Ralph Link went to high school at St Mary’s Catholic High School in Phoenix. I found this graduation photo of him from 1955.
Ralph went to Loyola Marymount University to study accounting. You can read about the history of Loyola Marymount here. He graduated in 1959. On November 28, 1959, he married Rosemary Orsini. Ralph’s accounting jobs took him across the country, from California to New Jersey. He retired from a job as chief financial officer for Max Factor in 1985 and Ralph and Rosemary later moved to Flagstaff.
