Kenneth Kanorr was born on January 17, 1910 near Celina, Ohio. Kenneth is Walt’s first cousin once removed.

Kenneth Kanorr was born to Clark and Sarah Fisher Kanorr in Celina. He was the youngest of 9 children born to the family. The family had a farm near Celina, in Mercer County, Ohio. In 1920, we find him attending school. One sister had died, and two other siblings have moved out. His dad’s father Joseph has move in with the family.

By 1930, the family has moved to Connersville, Indiana, and Kenneth is working as an agent at a freight house for the railroad. His older brother Kenton is working as a fireman on the railroad. Clark is working as a carpenter.

One Jun 29, 1935, Kenneth Kanorr married Frances Dehaven in Connersville, Indiana. Kenneth got a job at Rex Manufacturing, where he was a metal finisher while the company was making refrigerators. The Rex company had a long history in Connersville, from making buggies to making parts for cars to home appliances. You can read more about it on this webpage.

In 1940, we find that Frances mother, Elsie has moved in with the family. I’m not sure where her father was living at the time.

Kenneth and Francis had one child, a daughter named Sarah. Sarah was born in June of 1938. She had cerebral palsy and died at the age of 15 of a respiratory illness.

Francis died in March of 1977. Kenneth died on November 12, 1980. The family is buried in Dale cemetery in Connersville, Indiana.

Kenneth is the grandson of Anna Redmond, who I wrote about in this post.
