Louise Josephine Link was born on June 17, 1921, in West Point, Iowa. She was the second daughter born to William (W.J.) and Elizabeth Wellman Link. I wrote more about her in this post.

In 1939, Louise moved to Chicago. We can find her living there in the 1940 census. She was renting a home with Virginia Harmeyer, also from West Point. Louise was working as a cashier in a parking garage.I found this picture of Georgie and Louise in Chicago in 1939.

Les and Louise were married on June 19, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois. Les was still working at the chemical plant. They had their first child the following year. By 1950, they had 5 children. Sometime in the early 1950’s, they moved to Janesville, Wisconsin, where their 6th child was born. Around 1960, Les and Louise Nelson moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where their last child was born.

Louise died in a car accident in Tulsa on Jun 1, 1969. Les died in Dallas, Texas, May 11, 1984.
