It was something of a surprise to me to get the notice this morning that we have been writing the blog for 5 years now! It’s our 5th Blog Anniversary!

We’ve posted 512 posts. Most are family history – 275 of them. The rest cover a wide range of topics. Cooking, gaming, sewing, hiking and backpacking, and shop projects have all found places on the blog.

We’ve had 9821 visitors who have looked at 16,878 pages. The home page still gets the most looks. Perennial favorites remain. Cook! Cook! Where’s my Hasenpfeffer? is the most viewed post. Walt’s posts about the custom air rifle come in a strong second.

It’s neat to be able to look at the blog statistics and see what is being read and even when. This chart shows views by month and year. We can look at stats for topics, posts, years, months, days, and even comments.

We are looking forward to continuing to cover mostly family history on the blog. There are a few other odds and ends posts that may show up as we have time.
