Anna Lohman was born on January 16, 1870 in West Point, Iowa. She is related through marriage on the Wellman side of the family.
Anna Elizabeth Lohman is the daughter of August and Clara Holzfoester Lohman. Anna typically went by her middle name and was called Lizzie. The family were farmers near West Point.
On November 11, 1886, Lizzie Lohman married Edward Boeding in West Point. Edward had a farm near St. Lucas in northeast Iowa. 10 of their 11 children were born in Fayette County, Iowa. They lived there until sometime between 1906 and 1908. Lizzie & Edward moved their family to Seneca, Kansas. Their youngest son, Cyril was born there.

By the time of the 1910 census, Cyril had died and Lizzie was working the farm with her eldest children. She continued to live on the farm until sometime in the early 1930s. She then moved to Gilman, where she lived with her youngest son until her death.
Three of Lizzie’s daughters became nuns and one son became a priest.

Anna Lizzie Lohman Boeding died on January 14, 1944 in Seneca, Kansas.
