Edward Boeding was born on December 12, 1882 in West Point, Iowa. He is related by marriage via the link side of the family.

Edward Boeding was the sixth child born to Johann and Elizabeth Becker Boeding. I wrote about them in this post. They were farmers near West Point.

Edward married Irene Strothman on May 23, 1913. I wrote about Irene’s parents in this post and this post. They were married by Father Jacoby, a familiar name for West Point. I found this picture of Irene & Edward, but there is no date marked.

The 1920 census has them living near Pleasant Ridge in Iowa where they are farming. By this time, they have 3 young sons. By 1930, they have 8 children, and would end up with eleven in total.

I found draft cards for World War I and World War II. Interestingly, The WWI draft card lists 1883 as his birth year. It is the only document I have found that says that.

Edward Boeding died on January 22, 1964. He is buried in Calvary Cemetery in West Point, along with Irene and some of their children.
