Isadore Link was born on April 4, 1860 to William J. Link and Mary Ann Sauter in New Vienna, Iowa. Isadore was Walt’s great-grandfather.
Isadore married Theresa Kempker on April 17, 1882. They had 9 children and lived on a farm northwest of West Point.
Four generations are seen in this picture – Isadore, his son William, his granddaughter Louise Link Nelson, and his great grandson John Nelson.
Isadore lived out his life in Lee County. He was farmer until his retirement. He died on February 21, 1944.

Hi Michelle and Walter …. long story short, I’ve got a picture of an old “photograph” that Frannie gave away to one of Boe’s friends, Michael Cummings. Michael claims Frannie said this was a picture of her “mother”. I think Michael heard wrong or forgot. This is no way Lizzie Link …. I’m thinking maybe it’s Theresa Kempker, Grandpa Isadore’s wife.
