Amos Barnes Kellogg was my great-grandfather. He was born November 15, 1889 in Whitewater, Wisconsin to George Olney Kellogg and Margaret Barnes. He attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

A balding middle aged man, wearing a white shirt and glasses. He is smoking a pipe.

He married Grace Stearns on April 14, 1913 in Warner South Dakota. They lived in Aberdeen, South Dakota until 1916, where he worked as a journalist. They then moved to Rapid City.

He was drafted in World War I, but I don’t yet have any records of his service. Amos later ran a laundry in Rapid City. He died on December 21, 1941.
