It runs in the family……

I was looking through some pictures the other day and I noticed how many of them showed people fishing. It was a popular way to pass the time for Carl and Georgie and other members of their family.

These pictures are from a trip to Michigan in 1940. Carl and Georgie took a boat trip with a guide on Lake Michigan. In the third picture, you see Vera Hoel, one of Walt’s cousins.

And Walt and I enjoy it too!

We have enjoyed several trips to the Black Hills of South Dakota. In the first picture, Walt was fishing on Roubaix Lake. The picture with me shows my first rainbow trout, caught at Sylvan Lake.
