John H. Link, Senior, was born on November 18, 1885 to Isadore and Teresa Kempker Link in West Point, Iowa. His brother, William J. (W.J.), was Walt’s grandfather.

John married Josephine Schulte on May 5, 1908. She was the daughter of Theodore and Anna McBrady Schulte. John and Josephine had 3 children, Valeria Johanna (husband Clifford Ricks), Mathilda Rose (husband Martin Brockway), and John H. Link, Junior, (wife Irene Mueller). Josephine died on December 19, 1954.

John married Alice Archibald on May 23, 1955. John lived his life in West Point and died there on October 22, 1963.

I would like to know more about John. We don’t have any more information on his life except that he died while chopping wood at the age of 77.
