He was the youngest of 9 children born to the family. The family had a farm near Celina, in Mercer County, Ohio. In 1920, we find him attending school. One sister had died, and two other siblings have moved out. His older brother Kenton is working as a fireman on the railroad. Clark is working as a carpenter.

One Jun 29, 1935, Kenneth Kanorr married Frances Dehaven in Connersville, Indiana. Kenneth got a job at Rex Manufacturing, where he was a metal finisher while the company was making refrigerators. The Rex company had a long history in Connersville, from making buggies to making parts for cars to home appliances. You can read more about it on this webpage.

In 1940, we find that Frances mother, Elsie has moved in with the family.
